Sharing Session on “Endowment Style Investing for Family Offices”

In late 2024, our Centaline Family Office had the privilege of hosting Samuel Hui, Chief Investment Officer at Zongyou Capital, as a guest speaker at our sharing lecture. We are truly grateful to our advisor Hampton for arranging this event and taking on the role of moderator.

Samuel shared his rich experience and profound insights as the CIO of a single family office. His discussion on understanding and implementing the asset allocation of the Harvard Endowment, as well as how to balance risk and return and effectively diversify risks by incorporating different types of assets, was truly valuable.

We would like to highlight Samuel’s important message that the primary goal of a family office is not to maximize investment returns but to manage risk effectively and ensure the passing down of assets through generations. This is a significant point that we should all keep in mind as we strive to build a sustainable family office.
